Flat Bar Road Bikes Overview
Essentially flat bar road bikes are identical to road bikes bar one difference. They feature flat handlebars over drop down handle bars, this allows the rider to have a more comfortable, less aggressive riding position. Flat bar road bikes are lightweight and have similar geometry to road bikes, this means that they are slightly more fragile than other bikes and suited only for use on sealed roads.
These bikes are also commonly known as fitness bikes, built for speed and exercise but more comfortable than a road cycle.
