Bike Barn uses TOLL IPEC to ensure the fastest possible delivery of your goods.
North Island up to 7 working days
South Island up to 7 working days
Rural Deliveries + 3-4 working days to the above ETA (Please note: RD items may be handed to a third party courier for delivery)

Note that the website office is closed over the weekend and Public holidays so if you place an order on Friday after 2:30, Saturday or Sunday we wont process it until Monday. During sale periods the above delivery times may be extended.

Please note all bikes are sent boxed, and it is recommended that they are assembled by a trained professional.

We also allow for a ‘pick up from store’ option. The goods will be sent to the shop and you will be notified when they have been received either by a call or email.

Damaged goods

When receiving damaged stock from toll or IPEC please sign for it with DAMAGED and underneath sign your name

Take photos of the damaged box and product. Email to Bike Barn customer services (sales@bikebarn.co.nz) the same day you receive the damaged product. (Toll/IPEC may not accept a claim if you do not sign as damaged)

Please put the product aside and wait for further instructions on what to do with the product.

Terms of Service

When you place an order via our website we will treat that action as an offer to buy. We reserve the right to accept or reject you order for any reason, including (without limitation) if the requested product is not available, if there is an error in the price or the product description posted on the site or in your order.

Product Specifications and Suitability
Published product details, specifications and suitability information is the best available at the time. Bike Barn shall not be held responsible for the accuracy of any advice given regarding the suitability (or otherwise) of any part/s required for the repair of an item.
We encourage you to ensure all spare parts are fitted by a competent person in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Bike Barn cannot be held liable for any damage caused by the fitting of a part.
Please ensure that you have read your warranty conditions before attempting to install a part or otherwise repair item. Bike Barn cannot be held responsible if the item is damaged or your warranty is voided. Some manufacturer guarantees may be on condition that you use a qualified cycle technician.

Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled at any time before they are dispatched, simply visit your account and follow the steps for a full refund. If the item has already been dispatched then please see our returns policy.

Reviews and Comments

We encourage you to leave reviews, comments and product questions on our website. We regularly monitor this content and we reserve the right to remove, reject or edit it at any time. When submitting information to our website as a review, product question or customer comment you understand that what you have submitted is not copyright protected and you are permitting its appearance on the Bike Barn website.

Liability

We shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages or expenses. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to property, lost income, profits, economic or commercial losses and third parties claims.

We will do our best to get all orders dispatched as quickly as possible. We have no liability to you for any delay in the delivery of products ordered.

Warranty

Should the product be received dead on arrival, or if you discover any defects in your product, please contact us via of our contact links, to help us arrange a replacement on receipt of the item. We also provide a 1 year replacement guarantee against manufacturing defects. When replacements are not available we may, at our discretion, provide a complete refund.

Assembly

Because all our bikes come disassembled in bike boxes, we strongly advise all bikes purchased online are assembled by a qualified cycle mechanic. In order to have the warranty your bike must be built by a mechanic. If you build your own kids bike you will still be entitled to the full warranty.

Exchange, Returns, and Refunds Policy

Availability

Please be aware our stock levels are changing every day, if the item becomes out of stock we will do our best to get it for you. Also, when an item is listed as "out of stock" there is a chance we might have that item in stock at one of our stores. When an item is out of stock or we are unable to supply we will refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase.

Returns

We will process a return if an error has occurred through Bike Barn i.e. faulty product or incorrect product received. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item. You can expect a refund in the form of bank transfer, therefore please supply your bank account number and name with the return. Returns must be supplied with original packaging and at the cost of the recipient.

If you have a change of mind about the product ordered, you are welcome to exchange for store credit, but a refund will not be issued in this circumstance.

Warranty

All goods purchased from Bike Barn are covered by a full manufacturer’s warranty. The duration of this warranty is at least 1 year but some manufacturers offer an extended warranty. Generally speaking, warranties cover manufacturing faults and defects. They do not cover damage caused by crashing, abuse, general wear and tear etc. If you feel that any item purchased from Bike Barn has developed a fault then please contact us before returning goods as many problems may be solved without you incurring freight costs. If the goods need to be returned:
Goods must be clean, not covered in muck and oil
You must provide proof of purchase
Please be honest when dealing with us, we will endeavor to resolve any problem you have as it is in our interest to have a happy customer! Unfortunately freight costs cannot be covered
Goods returned will be assessed by our Warranty Department. Replacement goods will be dispatched once approved. We will contact you in cases that are not deemed to be valid for warranty.

New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993

The Consumer Guarantee Act sets out minimum standards for goods sold in New Zealand. In the event that goods sold are not of good quality or are faulty, the customer has the right to a repair, replacement or a refund.

New Zealand Fair Trading Act 1986

The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect the customer being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing; where the product was made; where the product is from; the meeting of New Zealand safety standards; availability of products in-store and the sales techniques used. The Commerce Commission enforces the Fair Trading Act 1986.
