Robbie McEwen would know all about the craziness that happens when a Tour de France stage actually finishes.
In his words, "that's when the real hell starts".
He checks in during Stage 5 and talks us through the process that happens once riders cross the line. Those who've finished at the pointy end go straight to the podium. Today we see Bling up on the podium as well as "most courageous rider"; an acknowledgment of his incredible effort in stages four and five after stage three's the shocking spill. He's in considerable pain from bruised ribs - in his words he could hardly breathe the night following the crash and we see here just how gingerly he's moving. What a champion effort.
